When is the last time that you have read a book, magazine or article; watched a movie or play; had an in-depth conversation; listened to an enlightening speech or sermon; participated in a dynamic retreat or social event, or had a marvelous spiritual encounter that really jarred your mind and made you think about your life and question yourself with intense seriousness? Try these questions for an example. Who am I? What is my purpose on this Earth? What is the meaning of my life? What is the reason I get up in the morning? If you ask yourself these questions at the right moment in your life, having no answers, the power of thought will probably leave you spellbound and in a very vulnerable state of mind. As powerless and helpless consumers of the game of economics our culture has distracted our conscious minds away from the true understanding of the power of thought. We have been socially conditioned to conform to a routine pattern of work, exchange, consume, entertainment, take a rest then repeat. This dehumanizing zombie like expression requires absolutely no thought pattern of creative imagination or logical reasoning. A society of spiritually conscious and intelligent thinking citizens who are obsessed with obtaining the knowledge of self would set off a social quake that would create a nightmare for capitalistic democracy. Profit would be replaced by happiness as the most aspiring goal in human life.
Ever since thought entered the scene of creation it has revolutionized the entire process of human evolution and brought us to a modern age of marvelous technological wonders. But some how in the progressive development of humanity we have taken such a technological and materialistic direction that our society has wound up in a westernized cul de sac of cultural hedonism. We have found contentment in a place where we build our mansions, park our Rolls Royce, rest our yacht, get a massage and order caviar in bed. Meanwhile, the social structure that affords us such luxuries succumbs to economic collapse without any responsible maintenance or adequate support rendered from our palace of narcissism. Pleasure, comfort and security have impaired our sense of reason, judgment and our emotions. Our nervous system no longer accepts pain as a signal in our brain to move on to experience the next cycle of pleasure and pain as a natural function of human development. Instead, we pursue pleasure with avarice and gluttony until we callus our nervous system. Our culture has caused pain to become a resentful feeling that we avoid at all possible cost. We only experience the feelings of pain for as long as it takes us to make a trip to the doctor's office, drive to the drug store or make our way to the medicine cabinet. Pain killing drugs ranks as one of the major contributors to our economy, and one of the mind's worst enemies, second to unconsciousness by ignorance.
"Until thought is cultivated and brought to a unitary purpose, harmonious expression and level of personal meaning within humanity, the entire human race is in jeopardy of the decadence of modern day civilization."

Ever since the time of the first tool of stone, to the first crop of agriculture, to the first machine of industry, to the creation of the computer and Internet of data processing, humanity has been on a journey of progression of consciousness that has taken us through a fascinating development of social civilization. The movement of each age of transformation from the Stone Age to the Information Age has had a profound effect on the development of our civilization and the method in which we go about conducting our everyday living. Modernity and its inventions have relieved us of the tremendous amount of time, effort and energy once spent toward surviving. Such human progress is now allowing us the luxury of having time to think about our lives in a more long-range, futuristic perspective than ever before. Contemporary thinkers have long contemplated the progression of humanity and its amazing course of destiny. But up until now no real significant or worthwhile action has taken place that demonstrates any promising optimism toward our future status as a human race. I'm quite certain that pertinent questions pertaining to our future linger in the minds of most concerned individuals. Such questions as: What will life be like in the year 2020 and beyond? Will the Information Age, the Internet and the computer thrust humanity forward at such a velocity that technology would further stratify our society even more? Will computer illiterates become third-class citizens, while the gaps between ignorance and intelligence and poverty and wealth continue to widen? And what is my individual role in the destiny of mankind? The answers to these questions should prompt immediate, intelligent and collective response. If humanity is to address such crucial issues that concern the assurance of the welfare and well being of our future, then, we must definitely initiate our visionary models of a utopian tomorrow today.
The term consciousness has conjured considerable debate and intense arguments as to its precise definition. Most arguments confine consciousness to an organic world and particularly to the human specie. Such narrow insight ignores consciousness as an underlying principle of the whole of evolution. I will attempt to define consciousness in a manner that reveals its true nature a nature that suggests an omni scientific presence of intelligent awareness permeating the entire universe, all at once. Consciousness is simply a record. It is the recording of the activity of the relationship between matter, energy and intelligence in a process of evolutionary art form. This definition acknowledges a primal consciousness that has maintained a record of all activity and its effects of progressive intelligence from the genesis of creation. In the inorganic world consciousness takes the form of imprints. In the organic world it takes the form of responsiveness. In this particular case we are concerned with the responsiveness of humanity. As humans, what exactly are we responding to? Are we responding to God? Or are we responding to the Devil, thinking that our response is out of Godliness. In essence, we are responding only to the content of our consciousness. In that case the next and most important question is what are we conscious of? In referring to the majority of humanity, they are certainly not conscious of God or the Devil. For if they were the fortunate recipients of the consciousness of either identity, their qualities of character and behavior would make their true nature shine like a ray of sunlight. And certainly they wouldn’t have to pretend or hide what they are truly all about. There wouldn't be but two religions in the world the religion of God and the religion of the Devil. And the beauty of it all is that these two religions would be in a peaceful and harmonious relationship with each other holding worship in the same church only at different hours of service.
"God and the Devil both work for the same construction company (Evolution Inc.). It is the Devil's duty to destroy the old buildings and evict useless tenants. It is God's duty to create new buildings and bless the useful tenants. No one makes a big fuss about the hereafter. After all, Heaven and Hell are just appropriate dressing rooms to take a shower and change clothes."

What are we conscious of? We are conscious of the things that our conscious mechanism (the brain) processes into understanding that which our nervous system and physical senses recognize and identify. We are conscious of our relationships, our job, our car, our home, our money and our social identity and its status. But we are unconscious of our mind, our soul, our true self and God. When we analyze thoroughly our human condition and its circumstances, an intelligent judgment lets us know that our present status of human consciousness is in serious need of an upgrade in terms of progressive development.
Remember, consciousness is a qualitative principle of evolution. Therefore, its progressive development is destined to be automatically orchestrated into the divine scheme of things. Just as the Information Age is developing beyond the Industrial Age, the Age of Consciousness will eventually develop past the Information Age. Our values will eventually make a major shift from the material to the spiritual. Values are the factors that determine the conscious attention of the masses of humanity. As long as our values are physical and emotional our consciousness will not exceed the things that we possess. Only when our values have been changed to spiritual values will our mind's consciousness get challenged to unlimited levels of growth and development stimulated by the infinite forms of the spiritual world.
Humanity is in desperate need of a program of cultivation and a movement of conscious development. Such a program should have a philosophy of spirituality that disciplines the thought and behavior patterns of the individual in such a way that will help break the old destructive habits and wrongful lifestyles that imprisons the lives of humans. We are in need of a program that spiritually educates. We must learn to value our physical, mental and spiritual health and take individual responsibility for our personal well fare and well being. We must be taught that the development of intelligence and the progression of consciousness are moral responsibilities of being human. Such a spiritual development within humanity cannot take place under the present circumstances and conditions of our westernized culture and its materialistic social structure. There are too many guardians of the gates of the status quo, whom have worked so hard for the achievement of our present social status. To them our present social condition is not their problem it is their success. Therefore, the present society and its culture must be destroyed by a divine higher power beyond the antagonistic response of the elite status quo. In fact, society is already in its silent phase of destruction. The decadence of a civilization always enters into its silent phase of economic destruction before it explodes into social chaos. The up and coming destruction of our present day civilization may sound like a wrath of God, but in truth it is the destined transformation of human development to a greater level of human evolution Intuitive Consciousness. If we analyze human evolution with intelligence and circumspective insight, there emerges a unique pattern of human progression that is stimulated by the exertion of the law of necessity. This human progression has been spearheaded by the advancing stages of the brain's development ever since instinct was replaced by intellect. Well, progress, necessity and intelligence are all teaming up to force the brain to a higher level of function (Intuition); a much needed development for the continuation of the human specie. At this stage of human evolution it will be the first time in the history of age transformations that two transformations (The Age of Information and the Age of Consciousness) will share the same time and space. When we look closely at the natures of both transformation ages, we can see the ingenuous mastermind of evolution providing global circuitry of information (televisions, computers and the Internet) to transport awareness to every corner of our planet. Never before in human history has an idea, concept or philosophy had the facilitation of reaching such a vast audience of human reception on a global scale in such a short time frame within a unitary process. Do you realize that our modern day technological marvels have the dynamic capability of communicating with 6 billion minds all at the same time? Just the imagination of our communication capabilities in the near future brings me cheer bumps! A single philosophical idea implanted into 6 billion brains with 6,000,000,000 X 10,000,000,000 neuron cells projecting electromagnetic impulses coded with the same blueprint could create what Peter Russell calls "The Global Brain."
Wow! Buddha would come back from the dead just to share the 21st century with me if he knew that he would get a chance to preach on national television, do a Bud Lite beer commercial and sing the national anthem before kick off at the Super Bowl.
"Had Jesus Christ been given a laptop computer, a website and a cellular phone, Christianity would probably be the global religion."

As the computer and the Internet are facilitating the transition of the Information Age, so is the brain facilitating the Age of Consciousness. Due to the condition and thinking habits of the average brain, a development of higher consciousness will be the most difficult achievement of all human endeavors. Such a human endeavor will require the application of the individual's own will, desire and self-determination. He or she will have to consciously choose to change his or her own state of mind. After such a decision has been made affirmative, the individual must adhere to a pattern of righteous and constructive thought and behavior shaped by measures of disciplinary conformity. When the individual has achieved self-discipline he or she will be properly prepared to enter through the threshold of the gate leading into the world of spirituality. The Sacred Fire of purification awaits the seeker of spiritual consciousness with its flames of suffering, sacrifice and service as soon as the spiritual seeker's first foot makes it through the gate. The spiritual seeker is anointed with love by his or her spiritual guide as a protection from the bodily harm of the mighty flames of the fire. As the flames of the Sacred Fire reach hotter degrees of temperature from the friction of spiritual travel, the level of love of the seeker toward the self and toward the spiritual guide must increase in equilibrium to the temperature of the flames. Although a guide is at the service and assistance of the spiritual seeker the journey along the spiritual path is a lonely travel. A companion traveler would only obstruct the conscious experience of becoming more aware of the self or soul. The seeker is informed that only the strong survives. The key elements that make up the strength that will enable the spiritual seeker to reach the destination of soul consciousness are Love, Faith and Intelligence. These elements must be developed harmoniously and progressively. Love, Faith and Intelligence are qualities of character that are tested at each intersection of the spiritual journey. Each test exceeds the previous test in difficult levels of suffering, sacrifice and service. The spiritual seeker gets a formal introduction to his or her ego the current driver of the vehicle of the egocentric self. The conflict begins. The ego is not accustomed to being controlled or told what to do by the soul. The soul claims to know the way of the spiritual journey by being a hologram of God. This hologram is interpreted as the law of being. And the soul is eager to make the ego conscious of such a spiritual law. The first lesson taught to the spiritual seeker is that he or she must romance their ego and achieve a harmonious relationship of love, respect and submission with the soul. The ego must learn that all of the emotions and material things it has come to possess and cherish from the physical world must be sacrificed for emotions and possessions of the spiritual world. Within the love affair between the soul and the ego, the ego must be convinced that the values of the spiritual world will surpass the emotional gratifications of the physical world and maintain a lasting experience beyond what any value in the physical world could ever compare. This relationship building between the ego and the soul is strengthened through a ritualistic exercise of self-psychology called Thought Therapy. In the self-psychology of thought therapy the ego is the first to take the platform to express its grievances and emotional conflicts that pertains to the friction from the spiritual journey. The soul listens with loving concern and empathetic compassion. After the ego is exhausted from negative ventilation of pain, anger, disappointment, anxiety, fear and any other unwanted emotions, the soul calmly changes place with the ego. The soul begins to reason with the ego as to why it should stay strong and continue its journey to soul consciousness. The soul repetitively reminds the ego of its emotional rewards at the destination of the spiritual journey. If thought therapy is practiced with sincere love, faith and intelligence the relationship between the soul and the ego and the ego's progression of its consciousness of the soul will both reach greater levels of development. As the ego merges with the soul the law of being becomes a pattern recognizable by the spiritual seeker. At a certain point along the route of the spiritual journey the spiritual guide makes an intelligent decision to take off the training wheels so to speak, away from the spiritual seeker as he or she enters a state of pure solitude. This is a major testing point in the spiritual seeker's path because the ego is no longer surrounded by the influence of the spiritual force field created by the spiritual guide and other disciples and seekers. If the relationship between the ego and the soul has been a façade without proper development of love, faith and intelligence, the ego will soon turn against the soul and eventually return to the physical world in order to recover what ever losses it was forced to sacrifice. The ego will accrue new material possessions and regenerate old emotions. Due to the extreme level of pleasure derived from the relief of suffering, sacrifice and service of the spiritual path it is highly unlikely that the ego will allow the soul to coerce it into experiencing that amount of pain ever again. However, if the spiritual seeker has reached a respectable level of strength, self-consciousness, self-confidence, self-discipline, self-worth, self-respect and self-esteem, his or her self-realization will accompany them down that lonely path of the spiritual journey. As consciousness of the soul reaches greater heights and begins to register through the nervous system and trigger cells in the pleasure region of the brain, this is when that indescribable feeling of ecstasy starts moving through your nervous system. You begin to feel those turbo charged emotions that are created by the memory of the obstacles that you have over come thus far and from the level of self-achievement that you have accomplished. These emotions register in the form of self-esteem. After you have developed yourself to certain high levels of self-esteem, blood starts shooting from the brain through the veins imitating the rush of a recreational drug without the negative side effects. When there is no turning back from the spiritual life because happiness has been realized and experienced the seeker is no longer seeking the spirit, he or she has found it. The spiritualist becomes reborn and his or her brain enters the process of evolutionary transition to Intuitive Consciousness.
The philosophy of Nungkyyii* calls this developmental movement of Intuitive Consciousness "The New Revolution." In "The New Revolution" consciousness will take humanity by storm. Wealth will be redefined according to the achievements of spiritual values. Health will be a standard of being human. Progressive and continuing education of permanent learning will be the status quo. Relationships will be business mergers of truth, trust and honesty for the purpose of profiting in love. Human energy will make a transition from the excess of physical food to the vibrant radiations of human love and cosmic energy or what the philosophy of Nungkyyii calls Divine Love. The purpose of life will be to strive for human perfection. The reason of life will be to serve humanity, both the individual and collective whole. And the meaning of life will obviously be to achieve that elusive state of serene ecstasy called happiness.
"The Age of Consciousness will exalt the human mind to heights of God Consciousness that will cause religions to lose their place of necessity as messengers of the Almighty. The true knowledge and consciousness of God will liberate humanity from the darkness of ignorance and the restrictions of fear, then every human being will rejoice and conduct themselves in a manner of Godliness!"
